Castor oil for hair: recipes for dandruff, for density and growth, the benefits of the tool and how to apply it

Castor oil or, in a simple way, castor oil is squeezed from castor seeds. Despite the initial medicinal purpose, today the product is more often used in cosmetology than in medicine. Interestingly, the famous laxative began to be added to the recipe, even branded industrial cosmetics.

And especially useful is castor oil for hair – thin, dry, straw. The tool is positioned as a fighter with dandruff and an assistant in strengthening the strands.

Castor oil is a pale yellow viscous liquid with a characteristic odor and taste. Interestingly, the tool is widely used in the chemical industry, in everyday life.

Based on it, some lubricants are prepared, suitable for shoe cleaning and even for the maintenance of aircraft engines.

In the medical and cosmetic context to use the tool must be very careful. That is not surprising, because castorca contains ricin in its composition – a very toxic vegetable substance.

Whether you bought castor oil in a pharmacy or in a cosmetology shop, after opening the bottle can only be stored in the refrigerator.

Despite the specificity of the substance, the use of castor oil for hair is invaluable. The product consists of three types of fatty acids, including linoleic and oleic, which are important for female beauty. After castor remedies, cosmetologists note such changes in patients:

  1. cell circulation is improved;
  2. hair growth increases;
  3. decreases peeling of the scalp;
  4. dry hair becomes stronger, healthier;
  5. the problem of strand breakage disappears;
  6. Dandruff is cured.

Before you apply castor oil on your hair, make sure that you are not allergic to it. To do this, lubricate the wrist, elbow, or the area behind the ear with oil, and check the area after 25 minutes. If there are no changes, you can try the tool.

Also, starting sessions with castor oil, consider the four rules.

  1. Time. If you want to achieve a good result, get ready to treat your hair for at least six months.
  2. Temperature. Castor oil has a thick and viscous consistency, it is problematic to put it on strands. To simplify the task it is necessary to heat the oil in a water bath.
  3. Mixing. Experts advise castor oil to be diluted with other, more liquid oils, for example, peach or almond.
  4. Wash. This substance is very fat. It is problematic to wash off the mask with castor oil, for the hair in this case it is necessary to use more shampoo. It should be at least three times lather and rinse with plenty of water.

Useful properties of the product make it a completely independent cosmetic: oil does not need to add any components, it can be applied in its pure form. Well proven two ways.

  1. Comb your hair
  2. Apply oil to the toothbrush.
  3. Part and separate the strands.
