The role of vegetables during lactation
Everyone knows that a nursing young mother must adhere to a certain diet, her menu should be selective. Some products have to be excluded altogether, so as not to harm the baby. Many young mothers are worried about the issue of vegetables. On the one hand, they are the source of many vitamins, minerals, fiber and other nutrients, on the other, many vegetables, especially in raw form, cause allergies, which is very dangerous for the baby. What kind of vegetables can a nursing woman? In what form is it better to use them? Are there any special ways and recipes for cooking vegetables for nursing?
During breast feeding, mom should never give up vegetables and completely eliminate them from her diet. They have a positive impact on both the mother and the baby, namely:
- supply the body with vitamins and fiber, which is especially important in the autumn and winter time;
- prevent the appearance of constipation in the mother and infants due to the high content of plant fibers;
- improve the immunity of mother and child;
- some vegetables can enhance lactation.
At the same time, it is necessary to introduce such products into your diet with caution, as many of them are quite a strong allergen, as a result of which the child can develop a rash on the skin, swelling of the tissues, dyspnea, redness of the eyes. In addition, some vegetables lead to increased gassing in the intestines, which will negatively affect the condition of the newborn.
