What kind of fruit can be eaten by a breastfeeding mother?
Nursing mother should receive a full amount of necessary substances and vitamins. This is possible only with a balanced diet, which is unthinkable without fruit. And if there are no claims to our native apples, then what about the abundance of other fruits? After all, very useful, richly saturated with microelements and the already familiar fruits can harm the baby. We offer a number of principles that the young mommy should adhere to when drawing up her own menu.
It is not a secret for anyone that often the nutrition of a nursing mother differs significantly from that of other people. Pregnancy, childbirth and the next few months after childbirth take away a huge amount of energy from her, so she needs to replenish the body’s resources. Consuming fruits during breast-feeding, mother provides herself and her child with the necessary vitamins.
Do not hurt: how to avoid allergies and not to provoke colic
Before the execution of the month, we select fruits using the exception method:
- By color: we remove from the diet red and orange fruits. Pigment, giving them a bright color, provokes allergic reactions of the skin – rash, spots. An exception may be a red apple, if previously removed from his skin.
- Sort by: exclude citrus fruits. The high content of vitamin C makes them strong allergens. You can only put a small slice of lemon into the tea.
- By the degree of influence on the intestinal microflora: grapes, plum, some pear varieties. They cause bloating, flatulence. From the plum, still expect a surprise in a strong laxative effect, which is completely undesirable for a small organism (but during constipation in a mother or baby, the plum can just come to the rescue).
