Myths and realities of a lactating woman’s life
There are many myths about breastfeeding. Some argue that it is very difficult to breastfeed and not every woman will cope with this task, on the contrary, it is very convenient, useful and generally enjoyable. Only the truth, as is known, is always somewhere in the middle.
The fact is that the life of a young mother is not easy and carefree, regardless of whether she is breastfeeding or not already. Nevertheless, the correct organization of breastfeeding greatly facilitates some tasks and saves a lot of time for mom (and this has a very positive effect on the health of the child). So what is the difference between reality and everything that is written on the Internet?
Everyone who reads Anna Karenina knows about this. Only in reality classics and even mothers, grandmothers, midwives can make mistakes. Breastfeeding should not cause unpleasant sensations: many mothers complain about this, but the causes of pain are improper application, a shortened bridle, infections, or all at all. When a woman learns to correctly apply the crumb to the chest or cure, these symptoms will pass.
One of the main problems of nursing mothers is not enough milk. This would not have been so much talking, if doctors did not recommend feeding by the clock. After a few weeks in this mode, milk is really not enough.
Only where does it come from, if its number is directly affected by how often the baby sucks his chest? There is a direct dependence, similar to the principle of supply and demand. If it is easier, then the more milk leaves, the more will come.
Undoubtedly, it also happens differently: very often mothers have problems with hormones, so no effort can help increase the production of breast milk. Even in such a difficult situation, you can continue lactation, even if you need supplementation.
Nursing mothers often lead the same life as everyone else: many work and even travel around on business trips, receive education and write a thesis. To breastfeed, not necessarily round the clock sit in an embrace with the baby. The only thing – until about 6 months of age, crumbs and the truth will be difficult to move away for more than a couple of hours.
Not true. If your breasts lose shape or not, it depends more on other factors: skin elasticity, bad habits (especially smoking), age, kilograms gained during pregnancy, and weight loss. So that The bust may lose its elasticity due to pregnancy, but not because of the baby’s feeding.
During feeding I did not sit on a rigid diet, I could afford sweet, pizza, I do not remember what I ate, the main thing is that everything was moderately, I did not overeat, and perhaps because of this my child was not allergic to any -or any products.
The discomfort of feeding is only the first few times, then you get used to and treat the process itself normally. I did not have any pain at all, and where could I get it, if a child simply does not have to bite his breast.
I nursed three months. There was no milk, and I really did not want to feed. I do not consider breastfeeding a feat, especially for more than a year. The first two weeks adhered to a very strict diet, then gradually began to introduce products and by 3 months ate everything. My everything, it's not sausages, gozirovkam, etc. I am for a healthy diet. And I can still advise, after each feeding to do control for the chest, because no one wants to severely spoil the chest.
