It seems to me that the problem of puffiness under the eyes is disturbing, albeit with different frequency, to very many. And the reasons for this phenomenon can be very different. This is what I want to talk about today and share my experience.
First, I clearly understood that heredity is not going anywhere. My father has had bags under his eyes all his life. Fortunately, I’m not like that, but … I still have a penchant for it.
Secondly, the most common cause of edema is the accumulation of excess fluid in the body. She is fully applicable to me. Many experts advise to drink in the evening no more than 1-2 glasses of water.
But I go to bed rather late and drink not only in the evening, but also at night. In addition, in extreme heat or, on the contrary, when it is very cold, I feel like drinking even more. From here in the morning is not quite presentable.
Third, the morning after the holiday. Apart from the fact that on such a day I usually get tired from the domestic plan (cooking treats, and then cleaning), and emotionally (communication, even pleasant, is also a burden), so drinking alcohol is also added here.
Despite the fact that most of the time I drink dry or semi-dry red / white wine and in small quantities, it still makes itself felt the next morning.
Fourthly, I sometimes get swelling from the lenses, especially in those days when the strain on the eyes is more than usual or in parallel with a cold, ORZ.
Well, another factor is tears. I am an emotional person, and when I worry a lot about something, I can’t escape tears. Of course, then the entire area around the eyes is swollen and swollen.
The causes of the occurrence of edema – a great many. In addition to those that are peculiar to me, the following are also very common: diseases of the heart and cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, internal organs, nervous system, as well as age-related changes of the subcutaneous layer.
If you are worried about something from this list, then you should contact a specialized specialist, fix the problem, then the swelling will pass, as they are only the result of ill health.
If you are relatively healthy and the edema is periodic, then you can use external means of exposure. For example, my favorite chamomile.
I take 1 tablespoon of pharmaceutical chamomile (dry flowers) and pour 1 cup boiling water. I close it tightly (it is more convenient for me to brew in a thermos) and leave to brew for 15 minutes.
Strain the infusion, let it cool slightly, the temperature should be pleasantly warm. I soak cotton swabs in it and apply it on the eyelids, changing it periodically for 15 minutes.
In the same proportions, I made infusions of mint leaves and lime blossom. They are also effective for removing edema, but, unlike chamomile, I do not always have it.
And one more favorite and effective way that I read in a book a few years ago and rewrote myself in a notebook – combined compresses.
I take four cotton discs and two saucers – in one I pour very warm milk in half with water, in the other – cold strained tea brewing.
I apply moistened discs in turns for 1 minute – warm, cold, warm … and so on for 5 alternations. The last should be a cold compress. I keep it for 5 minutes. Remarkably helps!
Well and, of course, for beautiful and healthy eyes, you need to eat well, eating enough vitamins and beneficial microelements, do not overdo it, provide good sleep and be in the fresh air!
And how do you fight with swelling under the eyes?
