Prevention of acute respiratory infections in schoolchildren, schoolchildren and older

Already three weeks after the beginning of the school year, 18 pupils were engaged in the class of the daughter instead of the 33 listed. The reason for this is acute respiratory diseases, which, as usual, are activated in the autumn.

I will not write anything new here. Of course, this is also a consequence of the stay of a large number of children indoors, and sudden changes in temperature when it is cold in the morning, it is warm in the afternoon, and hot in the classroom.

Our most important rule is: frequent hand washing. Before the meal, after the walk, the toilet and just for no reason. After all, it is on our hands that we carry a huge number of causative agents of all kinds of diseases, and then we touch the face and food with them.

I also pay attention to the hygiene of the nasal cavity. Because viruses usually enter the body through the respiratory system, and often linger on the mucous membrane. Therefore, every day after school and walking, I wash my daughter’s nose with saline.

An important rule: do not flush your nose before going out if it is cold. You need to wait at least 20-30 minutes.

Once or twice a year I give my daughter a course of vitamin preparations. This includes a vitamin complex and additional fish oil for general body strengthening. Instead of sweets in the fall, we have ascorbing in the course, which also additionally helps to strengthen the immune system.

Our nose is a problem, so the daughter also takes drops for the prevention of rhinosinusitis in children. Honestly, I do not really believe in homeopathy, but a friend praised this drug so much that I could not refuse. I don’t know whether this is a placebo effect or not, but we have had spring without aggravations. See if they help now.

Here we have everything unchanged, because we love so long and actively walk in the fresh air. Despite the cold, dress warmly and forward – on a scooter, bike or on foot. After our daily evening walks, the daughter falls asleep barely having time to have dinner!

In the clothes, by the way, I try not to overdo it. In the morning, when we go to school, it is rather cold outside, but in the daytime it is already ten degrees warmer. Therefore, I always warn my daughter not to put a jacket under her jacket during the day walk.

I pay attention to food, it should be varied and high-quality. I try to give my daughter mostly fruits (apples, pears, bananas) to the school, but not pastries and cookies, as most do.

Dairy products, meat dishes are certainly present in the daily diet. I also control that my daughter takes as much liquid as possible. I hope she has already made it a habit to drink water from the cooler at school at every break, and at other times we always have access to drinking water. On the day, the amount of fluid consumed should be at least one to one and a half liters (depending on the weight and lifestyle of the child)

Instead of the usual tea in the cold season, we switch to vitamin collections with lindens, chamomile, wild rose, wild berries, etc.
