Nowadays, new ways to express oneself constantly appear: stained glass, decoupage, finger paints, drawing with clay, modeling from polymer clay …
All these types of creativity have recently become amazingly available. The stores are full of different sets, the Internet is full of master classes. But I have never seen anything like this – my daughter was given a 3D pen for the New Year!
The handle is a black plastic cylinder extending to one end with a length of 19 cm. On the narrow side there is a small nozzle – a heating element.
Work material – plastic fishing line with a thickness of 2 mm (on the title photo) – is inserted from the wide end, passes through the entire handle and exits through the nozzle with a plastic mass. You can control the flow of plastic using two buttons – up and down. The first one helps to pull the plastic out of the pen when you have finished drawing or want to change color, and the second pushes the molten plastic out of the nozzle. You can create!
Plastic stiffens quickly – there is little time for drawing, but it is precisely because of this that curls, slanted lines and 3D objects can be created. Here is an example – one of the very first samples of a pen, that is, a pen: a house. Krivenky, koshenky, but rather steady. Even there is smoke from the chimney 🙂
In addition to drawing in space, you can create a variety of figures. They are sufficiently dense and strong to hang them on the keys as a key fob, the main thing is to provide an eyelet in advance.
Well, the last way – drawing flat pictures. We simply printed the coloring on A4 sheet and drew it in different colors of plastic. In the process of drawing the paper from the heat a little twisted, so before separating the picture from the sheet, you need to iron it through 2-3 sheets of paper with an iron.
Now you can draw a stand – in our case it is an oval with crossbars. Then we stick the stand to the picture at an angle of 90 degrees – and you’re done! Openwork pattern will be an excellent element of the decor for the nursery – it can be easily put on the shelf.
While we surfed the Internet in search of master classes, we came across a report from 3D drawing courses. Small groups of children under the strict guidance of teachers gradually learn to draw in three dimensions.
As for age, you can start drawing from 6-8 years old. When working, the pen heats up quite strongly and this may not please the young child. Children are more mature and already understand well what is possible and what is not, what is hot and better control their movements.
I hope I managed to show you that the 3D pen is a great gadget for a modern creative person!
And how do you feel about the newfangled ways of creative expression?
