Last night my daughter asked me what we would give grandmas and grandfathers for Easter. Honestly, I was confused, because to give gifts on this day in our family is not accepted. We go to visit each other with cakes and painted eggs. But we don’t give presents to each other, except grandmothers can treat their grandchildren with candy.
My daughter was outraged. She could not accept the fact that on such a holiday everyone would be left without a gift. She began to invent presents for her relatives as she went. She decided to buy a beautiful flower for her grandmother, grandfather a calendar, and her great-grandmother favorite cookies.
Honestly, I liked her idea. And why not make parents nice? I offered my daughter to complement each gift with a postcard, to which she gladly agreed.
Without wasting time, we started making postcards. First of all, we bent a sheet of cardboard in half – the foundation turned out. The daughter decided to decorate the postcard with an appliqué, but not simple, but voluminous.
On colored paper, I drew oval-Krashenki. For one testicle, we needed 6 such ovals. We cut them out and folded them in half. Then we glued them together with one side and glued the workpiece to the base. It turned out volumetric testicle!
I am sure that such a gift from a granddaughter will be appreciated by grandmother and grandfather! Do your children like to do volume appliqué?
