Summer mode is usually different from the winter due to the fact that the weather and the duration of daylight hours contribute to long walks.
Summer is the time for vacations, many kindergartens work in an abbreviated mode (the caregivers rest or control the repair of the premises).
Here there are two options – either get up early to have time to walk before the onset of heat, or sleep off during the entire period of early ascents to kindergarten and / or to work. I never loved the early ascents, despite the fact that I do not belong to owls. The best option for us and our daughter is to get up at 8-9 am.
I like the morning without haste – quietly have breakfast, and not going headlong for a walk, in time to catch the morning coolness. Along the way, you can do some household chores so that the evening was partially free.
Because of the heat, the duration of morning walks in the summer usually does not exceed two hours. We walk, of course, in the shade. By the way, I was always amazed by the fact (I don’t know if it was accidental or not) that there are almost no playgrounds in our district where the shadow falls in the morning.
Usually we combine business with pleasure – walks in the morning are businesslike. I use this time to purchase products in a store or on the market, to visit the necessary authorities – a bank, clothing stores, etc.
In the first half of the day we usually make visits to places of interest to our daughter, thankfully, in the summer their choice is huge – a flower exhibition, a zoo, various museums, an aquarium.
Once we tried to go to the zoo after a nap, I didn’t really like it, because it was even hotter than in the morning, and I had to go back in public transport at rush hour, which is completely unpleasant.
In the evening we try to walk to the maximum. We usually walk from 18 to 22. And even after such a long and active walk, the daughter asks for a walk. We have a large group of children, and all parents are friends with each other, which makes the evening walk a useful and enjoyable pastime.
The amount of sleep each child determines for themselves individually. The task of parents is to create comfortable conditions for rest, so that the heat as little as possible affects the quality and quantity of sleep.
The daughter goes to bed late, around midnight, but she sleeps about three hours during the day, managing to recover the strength of her walks during sleep.
In the summer, it should be as light as possible so as not to overload the child’s delicate digestive system. In no case should not be forced to eat, and it is better to even reduce the size of servings and the amount of fatty foods in the diet.
Particular attention should be paid to the amount of absorbed liquid to prevent heat stroke and dehydration, and also include as many fresh vegetables and fruits as possible in the menu. Indeed, at the height of the season the number of nutrients in them is maximum.
Of course, the summer mode needs to be slightly adjusted. Moreover, I want my daughter to associate this time of year with rest, vacations and some elements of idleness, or something.
Try to spend as much time as possible on the street, away from the TV, computer and dusty rooms.
