In simple terms, creativity is the level of creative talent, ingenuity, the ability to generate unusual ideas, the quick resolution of problem situations, the ability to resist stereotypes.
For some reason, I immediately recall the task from the Children’s Soviet Encyclopedia: how to connect 9 points in one continuous line. Most readers do not realize that it is possible to draw a line outside the square, because it is not prohibited by the condition of the problem. This is creativity – a deviation from traditional patterns of thinking.
One of the methods for the development of ingenuity in preschoolers is through the game. Usually, children themselves offer new ways to solve problems. For example: it’s okay that there is no elastic for hair, let’s cut the balloon into rings and use them as an elastic !.
Contribution to the future
Not so long ago, creativity became one of the requirements for hiring not only for specialists of creative professions (designers, photo artists, site creators), but also for others – brand managers, advertising specialists, etc. But what to say, now even the position is – a creative director!
During the game, not only self-discipline, imagination develops, the nature of the child is revealed. Preschoolers are not limited in making decisions, the possible development of the situation.
Every time I am amazed when I watch the usual play of dolls of my 3.5-year-old daughter – what a field for the development of creative thinking! I will quote (the phrases are turned to dolls): well, nothing that the doll’s handbag broke, here’s a little bag for you, imagine that this is a handbag!, Look what a beautiful kitty, imagine that she is alive, stroke her! (depicts a cat meowing).
Children generate a lot of unusual ideas during a regular walk, in our power to help them with this. Look at the clouds and think about who they look like. Similarly, with the form of puddles, snowdrifts, leaves, sand figures.
Recently, my daughter and I were making a snowman (by the way, the first one in my life!) And after unsuccessful attempts to find a carrot in the snow, the little girl herself offered to make a nose out of the wand, saying: just quietly so that the snowman would not see that we had deceived him !.
Another simple way to train the production of non-standard ideas is to make together, invent unusual, sometimes even absurd phrases, ideas. For example: make hairstyles from soapy hair; play shop, while replacing money with colored paper.
Do not try to come up with something supernatural for preschool children. Sometimes, even the usual application can be an excellent field for creativity and the creation of unusual characters, figures, situations.
Come up with your child with unusual endings of your favorite fairy tales, change characters (for example, Cinderella to the little mermaid), introduce new characters. And, perhaps, in the future, your child will become the inventor of a perpetuum mobile or a new type of fuel!
