The development of coherent speech in children, preschoolers

After the joy for the first words of the kids, the stage of learning and the development of a coherent speech with them begins. After all, the child should not just know the pronunciation and meaning of individual words, but also be able to put them into sentences in order to express their thoughts, feelings and desires.

You can start from about one year old. Do not immediately try to pull out complex sentences from a child, start with phrases. Sound your actions, constantly communicate with your child: cross the road, white cat, beautiful flower.

Connected speech implies mastering the richest vocabulary of the language. In order to constantly replenish this stock, it is necessary to read a child a lot, use synonyms, offer several options for describing things and phenomena. For example, it is raining – cold, wet, fresh, sudden.

Reading plays almost the main role in the formation of coherent speech. However, in our time it is partially replaced by television, this is not going anywhere. I often notice that my daughter uses quotes from favorite books and cartoons. And the fact that she does it to the place and on time can not but rejoice.

Return to your favorite books more often. Read several revisions of the same story. This allows the child to better remember the plot and develops memory. Ask to retell the tale in your own words.

Do not teach your child to express their thoughts in monosyllables. For example, I am not satisfied with the daughter’s answer. I ate, thank you, I need. Thank you, Mommy, you made wonderful burgers. It is good that we bought fresh meat, because without it there would be no tasty lunch !.

Maintain the conversation, be interested in the child, how was his day, ask to share impressions from the walk, visiting the kindergarten, activities. Ask what you liked and what did not, and why.

This is a coherent speech of one person. This is the most complex speech form, which serves for the purposeful transfer of information. Do not interrupt the child. Just tell him a topic for reasoning and listen.

Themes can be very diverse – from Africa to How did you spend your summer. Make sure that there is a logical sequence of presentation. Gestures and the use of different intonations will be useful.

Closer to the 4th year children acquire the ability to reason. This means that the child is already able to give his assessment of what is happening, to argue his actions or choices, to draw the appropriate conclusions.

Again, the main thing is connectivity, which presupposes keeping in mind the compiled program for the entire period of reasoning, involving all types of control over the process of speech activity.

Enrich the child’s speech, do not miss the moment when children easily learn new words and expressions. After all, the Russian language is so rich in idioms, adjectives with several degrees of comparison, synonyms.

It seems to me that the lion’s share in enriching vocabulary for the most accurate expression of thoughts belongs to the same books. As my English teacher says: To learn a language and to master it perfectly, grammatical rules are not enough. Need to read, read and read again !.
