Recently, my daughters at school had an interesting event. Immediately after the May holidays, the whole class made a hike in nature, with snacks and various contests.
Among the girls was a competition for the best wreath of flowers. It turned out that, unfortunately, not all girls know how to do it. And there were a lot of flowers in the meadow where they rested! My girls shared second place and returned home happy-happy.
In my childhood I also loved to weave wreaths of flowers. In the city, of course, most often came across dandelions. And in the village, my grandmother had so many flowers! We made different wreaths with our girls and walked in them for whole days. And it seemed to each that her wreath was the most beautiful.
I love flowers and I try to instill this love in children. We live in a private house with a small plot of land, where every year we plant different flowers. Girls must take part in planting and caring for flowers. They really like this activity!
When they were very young, we taught small poems about different colors with them. Then, when they saw this or that flower, they easily remembered its name. Many poems they remember so far.
Dear readers, tell me how you instill in children a love for flowers and other plants?
