Many of us spoil our child, and I am not an exception. My daughter has a lot of toys that every girl at this age has – dolls, stuffed dogs and seals, cartoon characters, doctor sets and dollware.
However, it would be desirable that the child not only just played with dolls, but also developed. I try to buy as many as possible of those toys that will help the child to develop, improve thinking, and motility. Initially, educational toys were simpler, for example, frame-liners, sorters, simple mosaics, lacing in the form of bullseye and pears.
My daughter could easily play such options on their own. Later, there was a need for games such as lotto, dominoes, puzzles. These games, firstly, make it possible to play with the whole family, secondly, they develop logic, and thirdly, they help fine motor skills.
When my daughter has mastered the game, we moved to more complex mosaics, there were lacing in the form of embroidery. Also, the daughter began to love to play herself and repeat everything for her mother. I had to buy a learning laptop and tablet, speaking the alphabet. With their help, my daughter quickly learned to count and learned the letters.
However, we had some minor problems with pronunciation, we studied with a speech therapist, and she advised to further complicate the types of lacing for the development of motor skills. Also, my daughter is very fond of collecting various designers. True, initially for the designers needed the help of the Pope. Then she calmly understood herself.
I noticed that a toy is of more interest when the daughter unpacks it, studies it, tries to figure out what needs to be done. Sometimes the constructor or puzzles do not work very well, but, nevertheless, the daughter persistently tries to find the answer herself. Do not ask for our help.
In her four years, she collects puzzles 54 elements faster than me. The only minus puzzles – they are interesting twice. Then you have to buy new ones. It is advisable to purchase puzzles that match your favorite cartoons or fairy tales.
Very often, the daughter comes up with their own options for playing with toys. For example, when we bought cubes, instead of collecting pictures, she simply built large towers. The constructor was also misused.
Of course, we do not forget about those toys that just give pleasure – soap bubbles, a kaleidoscope, children’s cameras, crayons, furniture for dolls. However, most of all she plays with precisely those toys that help to develop. Now we are actively mastering the game of checkers.
