How to take a baby-fidget, so that this time has passed with benefit? The correct answer: games. But not ordinary, but didactic.
What are didactic games
For the difficult term didactic hiding educational activities for children, which are held in the form of a game. Such games are especially useful and important for children of preschool age.
Not every cognitive game can be called didactic, because this type of games has certain signs: the presence of a game plan, actions and rules of the game. Most of these games imitate certain life situations or model some processes.
I personally are attracted to these games by the fact that they can be created from improvised means, while the goals will be achieved – the child will enjoy the game, and the adult will teach his child something new. It is only necessary to remember that these games should not be delayed and the maximum allotted time for each should not exceed 10-15 minutes.
My didactic box
My youngest daughter is 2.5 years old, and for now I’m choosing simple games designed specifically for this age. To make it easier to do, I made a special box for didactic materials, where I store cards with geometric figures, numbers, cards with flowers.
Basically, all this is done by hand, although I also use purchased materials, for example, cards with the image of objects, fruits and vegetables, animals, plastic forms and figures. Although, for good, having some free time left, you can do it yourself.
And now I generously share the games we play with my daughter. Perhaps they will be useful to someone else.
Objective: to teach a child to compare items
Materials: Three bear toys, three plates (cookie cutters).
The course of the game. During the game, I tell the tale Three bears, where each bear has its own chair, its own cup and its own cot, corresponding to their size. I ask my daughter to arrange the plates, put the bears in the crib.
Objective: to teach the child to compare the shapes of objects.
Materials: toys, or real products that are in the house, as an option, product pictures; pictures with the image of geometric shapes; basket or box.
The course of the game. I am a saleswoman, handing a check to a child (a picture with a certain geometric figure), the child must go to the store and choose only those products that match the shape of the geometric figure.
This game is popular all over the world, and is very useful for children of any age.
Objective: to develop the objective memory of the child.
Materials: paired cards with the image of vehicles.
The course of the game. Lay out 6 pairs of cards with the image of vehicles. I tell the child the story that our little bear flew on an airplane, we must catch up with him, but we can do it on the same airplane. I take one of the cards with the image of the aircraft. The task of the child to find the same. Gradually, the task becomes more complicated: there are more cards, and they can be turned over to the wrong side.
I play the same game with my eldest daughter (she is 7 years old), only the cards are already more difficult for us. This year we master the paintings of great artists.
Objective: to develop the concept of space in the child.
Materials: 3 toys (we have a kinder surprise), wood imitation (you can use a box or cut a tree out of cardboard).
The course of the game. I tell the story that the bunny was sitting under a tree (the task of the daughter to put a toy under the tree), and the squirrel on the tree. A gray wolf came and scared the bunny and he hid behind a tree. But the wolf understood where the bunny was hiding, and chased him. The squirrel saw that the bunny was in trouble, she gave her foot and helped the bunny to climb a tree. The wolf did not leave it alone.
To some, such games may seem unnecessarily simple, but, in fact, they bring great joy to children. In addition, imperceptibly to himself, your child learns the world around, develops and learns something new.
