My daughter and I are very fond of varied leisure. And during the winter holidays, the number of events is so large that it is unreal to go everywhere. Alas, the point is not only in the availability of free time, but also in the fact that this pleasure is not cheap.
Most daughter loves to go to the ballet. Fortunately, just ten minutes away by subway from our house there is the Children’s Opera and Ballet Theater. Since the summer, we have reviewed almost the entire program, and, frankly, I would love to visit these same performances again.
Sometimes we walk on our own, sometimes my friends and daughters join us. To be honest, there are very few boys in the hall, and those who are present do not show much interest in what is happening on the stage.
We also attend musicals – this is a performance with remarks, songs and dances. Much depends on the sound quality here – if the characters use a phonogram, then there are no problems. But literally the day before yesterday, we were at the musical Buratino, where the actors played and sang live, and even I hardly understood half the phrases. However, the fact is that we were sitting not far from the orchestra.
Another daughter loves a children’s opera, just in a week we are going to the next performance – the Snow Queen. Despite the fact that the child does not understand everything literally, but the beauty of the music and outfits do not leave anyone indifferent. Moreover, the plot of children’s fairy tales, children usually know.
Appearance and behavior
One of the favorite daughter books – Secrets of etiquette, in which the author tells how to behave in the theater. It would be my will, I would have given this book to each visitor, because sometimes it is simply impossible to follow the events on the stage, so much noise is on the sides.
We always try to dress up at a cultural event smartly. This is not about lush ball gowns, but I don’t consider it to be decent in street overalls. In the warm season, this dress or skirt, in the cold – a mandatory change in overalls.
Regarding the behavior should be in advance with the child conversation. I have repeatedly told my daughter that you should sit quietly on the show, do not run or turn. There is a separate conversation about food. Sometimes it just seems that the child gets the only chance to eat and rummage with candy wrappers during the theater trips.
Why are there children, I have often observed how parents put their children on their shoulders, so that it could be seen better. And how they see the scene, those who sit behind them, they are not interested.
We also have a tradition – to buy flowers and give them to the hero you like. We do not choose expensive bouquets, let it be a few small roses or tulips, but the daughter really likes this moment.
We strongly advise you to diversify your leisure time by visiting a variety of cultural events with children. Here, as elsewhere, there is the possibility of savings.
First, I subscribed to many mailing lists that offer to purchase coupons to buy tickets at a discount. So we visited a soap bubble show, a museum of experiments, a pirate show, a zoo, etc. with a 50% discount.
Secondly, check the cost of tickets on different days. For example, tickets for ballet on weekdays are almost two times cheaper than on weekends. And the possibility of buying through the Internet greatly facilitates the procedure for their acquisition.
Thirdly, specify the need to pay for children’s seats. I did not buy a ticket for half of the events to my daughter – sometimes I held them in my arms, sometimes I put them in a free space, because the hall was half empty.
If my memory serves me, the events of 4-5 years of age remain in the memory of the child for many years. And I would be pleased if my daughter will later remember how we went to the ballet or the theater together.
Such trips are a significant contribution to the development of the child. especially if performances are accompanied by classical music, an intricate plot, interesting movements, etc.
