In part, the state of the immune system depends on genetic factors. But we can strengthen the protective functions of the body of our children.
Dress for the weather
It is not necessary to do with your own hands from the child of the frost. If the kid walks, it is enough to wear him as you would, taking into account individual features (rainproof mittens in the snow or rubber boots in the rain). Membrane clothing and shoes are popular now, it is enough to wear a fleece blouse and stockings under them.
Otherwise, there is a high probability of a violation of the body’s thermoregulation, which is fraught with a weakening of the immune system as a whole. And remember, a cold nose is not an indication that a child is cold. But rather the opposite – a warning that everything is in order with thermoregulation.
It is no secret that the liver in children ends up being formed at the age of 9. Obviously, it is more difficult for a body that is not yet fully formed to cope with its functions. And I do not understand the reasons for which mothers with children are filled with medicines with such zeal.
It would have been my will – I would have written in large letters at the entrance to the pharmacy. Dear mothers, colds and flu are not treated with antibiotics !. Among my friends there are those who treat everything with antibiotics – from cough to rhinitis. And it’s not just the load on the liver. Uninformed parents with coughing snot usually give a child broad-spectrum antibiotics (i.e., those who treat otitis and pyelonephritis with equal success).
This is fraught not only with the lack of effect (if the child is sick, for example, with the flu), but also with the fact that the active substance of the drug will develop immunity. And in a situation where they will be really necessary, the reaction of the body, alas, will not.
You should not justify yourself with bad weather, household chores and laziness – walk with your child! Active walks in the fresh air not only contribute to the physical development of children, but also greatly enhance the protective functions of the body. And if the walk takes place in the company of friends, then socialization skills develop in the team.
The harmful effects on the body of such harmful products as sweet carbonated drinks, mayonnaise, products with an abundance of preservatives and flavors, excessively fatty and fried foods are well known. Now you may not see the consequences, which does not exclude the possible occurrence of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract in the future.
By example, introduce the child to the basics of proper nutrition. Do not be lazy to stick dumplings, but you will not worry about the composition of the store. If the child likes fresh juices, in no case do not let them drink on an empty stomach, and even better – dilute with water.
The abundance in the diet of children of fruits and vegetables, a varied quality food, a sufficient amount of fluid are the basic rules, the observance of which the children’s body will be incredibly happy.
I do not want to position myself as an ideal mother whose child never drank the juice from the bag. But I strive to minimize the amount of harmful products in the daughter’s diet. I will not hide, once a month she may climb into mayonnaise, and sometimes she uses candy on a stick. But I personally consider it my merit that my daughter (like me) does not like sweets, loves fruit, drinks plenty of water and prefers walks to staying at home.
Our balcony door does not close even in winter, at home I regularly do wet cleaning (viruses, by the way, love dust), in our company, the daughter wears the hat last and removes it first.
Despite such barbaric methods of education, my child rarely gets sick (although it goes to kindergarten and gymnastics) – 1-2 times a year.
The health of children is in our hands, and our task, as parents, is to ensure that greenhouse conditions in childhood do not come back to health problems in the future. I suspect that I am fanatically kutali, because I even sleep in my socks in the hot summer 🙂
