Every year, children in our group prepare an autumn festival for their parents. And every time they manage to make it interesting and different. This autumn is no exception.
In addition to the matinee, we certainly hold an exhibition of handicrafts made from natural materials on autumn themes – hedgehogs from seeds, roses from leaves, caterpillars from chestnuts and much more.
Due to the fact that the heating season did not begin for a long time, the rehearsals began late, and there was not much time for them. A little more, and will begin preparations for the New Year’s party.
When my friends told that their children got the role of carrots, peas and beets, I smiled, and together we tried to come up with ideas for costumes. And one day, my daughter said that she would be grapes at the festival. Well, it was my turn to worry about the costume.
The simplest option that many parents used is to draw a fruit on a piece of paper, color it, cut it and attach it on the head or on the dress. But I’m not looking for easy ways, so I started looking for artificial grapes.
In the shops of household goods, it seemed, there was everything – from a banana model to sweet pepper. Everything except the grapes! Then I saw beautiful clusters that served as decor in a cheese case in a supermarket. Ask them at the time of the administrator – this was my fallback.
The Internet persistently offered options from other cities, most of which were wholesalers. But luck smiled at me and I found an online decor shop with a huge selection of artificial flowers, fruits and vegetables on the Internet. Three small clusters of different colors cost me 40 hryvnia (120r.). By eye from the present and you can not tell, even the gray patina is on the berries.
The second task was to attach grapes for daughter’s outfit. A dress suitable for the autumn theme of yellow color was waiting in the wings for a long time, and I decided to attach one bunch to it, and two to the head.
With a hoop, the story is separate: first, the two clusters for the children’s side are a bit heavy, and secondly, it was necessary to have a strong grip with the hair, because the dance in children was energetic.
At first I sewed bunches on a rag hoop, but he slid through his hair. Then she tied them to the hoop with teeth, but the weight of the grapes tightened the hoop down. Then I tried to make something like a wreath of wire and gum, but again it was not that.
As a result, my silicone wrap with an adjustable elastic band (for an Athenian hairstyle) ideally suited, the teeth on it securely held the grapes on the children’s head.
For some reason, the autumn matinees we always get a little sad. Instead of rejoicing at the harvest and the yellow leaves, the children regretted the last summer and waved after the birds flew south.
Autumn raised her mood – a girl in a suit who came to our holiday with gifts (fruit and a huge apple cake).
In addition to the fruit dance, in which the daughter participated, there was a dance with umbrellas, a dance with spikelets, a dance of the autumn months, folk dance, traditional poems and a few thematic songs. Everything went smoothly, especially given the fact that the children had very little time to prepare – only two or three weeks.
Of course, we really liked everything, and the children even more, because every matinee is a small holiday for them. In addition, most children take their parents home after the event, and the weather outside was beautiful – the real golden autumn.
And how did your children have autumn matinees?
