When my daughters were 4 years old, they all got sick with chickenpox. Oh, and it was not easy for them! Temperature 38, moods and discomfort. And on the street summer, the heat, the kids are running in the yard!
In order to distract the children and cheer them up a bit, I invented various fun games. We also made pillow houses, and hung garlands on the walls, and played dominoes.
Since running at a high temperature is completely undesirable, I tried to invent interesting creative tasks for children. We made crafts from leaves and flowers, learned to cut snowflakes (and it doesn’t matter that it was summer :)), sculpted heroes of favorite cartoons from salty dough.
And we did the applications. I cut colored paper into small squares, circles, diamonds, and triangles. On a sheet of white paper made a sketch of the picture.
The girls liked to stick figures, filling one or another drawing. Then I complicated the task. I did not make sketches anymore, but only told the girls what we were going to depict this time.
Daughters from such applications were delighted! They loved to pick shapes and colors. And then they finished the finished work with magnets on the refrigerator.
Do your children like geometric appliqués?
