5 ways to put a child to sleep, preschoolers

No matter how much we love our children, it often happens that by the end of the day you just wait for the moment when the baby falls asleep in order to calmly work out his affairs. As is often the case, children usually do not hurry to fall asleep, as in a joke – before going to sleep, children are usually attacked by hunger and thirst.

Of course, my advice is unlikely to help put the child to sleep at the wrong time to sleep, but I hope they will be useful when putting the kids to sleep, which is provided by the regime.

This method is perhaps one of the oldest and time-tested. Especially if you read with the appropriate intonation – quietly, monotonously and slowly. I remember that my daughter had a book of 5 fairy tales, and so, we didn’t get beyond the third one even in a few months.

It should be read with dim light – you can use a night light or even a flashlight (if the kid does not show interest in the pictures, but only listens).

Often the daughter asks not to read, but to tell her a fairy tale about the girl Katya. These stories are also educational in nature, because the girl Katya is in some way the prototype of my daughter.

For example, in the afternoon, my baby did not behave very well – she was capricious in a store. Therefore, in the evening she listens to the fairy tale about the girl Katya, who behaved badly in the store, her mother spent all the money on her whims and they did not have enough money to buy food, and then, depending on the breadth of your imagination.

The element of the game can be made in laying. Sometimes it happens that we supposedly go to bed with the whole family, at the same time a condition is voiced who falls asleep faster, he will receive a prize in the morning.

The order is needed in everything, so sometimes the daughter enthusiastically puts her toys to sleep – she undresses and covers the dolls, tells them fairy tales. During this activity, the child gradually goes into a state necessary for sleep.

Until recently, we had a great musical toy from the time of my childhood – a soft mushroom with a mechanism and a string that puts it into action. If you pull it starts to play a melody, which is played in a circle with a constant slowdown. The plant was enough for 15 minutes, this was enough for the daughter to fall asleep.

To my great regret, the toy, which could even withstand washing in the washing machine, did not survive the contact with the daughter – it broke.

We also have a nightlight with several melodies – the sounds of the forest, surf, birds singing. Besides the fact that it emits a soft light, its music perfectly soothes and promotes falling asleep.

Before bed, try to avoid active games, watching dynamic cartoons and programs (in principle, I do not mind watching cool cartoons), dinner just before bedtime.

It is necessary to follow certain rules – be sure to adhere to the rules of hygiene (brushing your teeth, bathing), going to the toilet, putting on clothes for sleeping. Children love rituals very much and follow them with pleasure.
