For five years, I managed to select the most effective medicines that are guaranteed to help my daughter during her illness from the variety of medicines. Of course, everything is very individual here, but I hope my experience will be useful for mothers of babies.
Of all the fever-reducing females, these candles help faster and better. Nurofen and other drugs that contain it, bring down the temperature very slowly and not for long.
Of course, there is Paracetamol in the form of sweet syrup and tablets, but the speed of action of the candles does not compare with it. Even now, considering the daughter’s weight (more than 20 kg), she needs to drink too much syrup, and it’s so sugary that it can cause vomiting.
The only disadvantage of candles is the storage conditions, because in the heat they can simply melt. For such cases, I have the usual Paracetamol tablets (at a dosage of 200 mg).
Marimer Sea Water
In terms of price / quality ratio, this spray is the best for washing the nose. I pay special attention to the power of the sprayer, in Marimera the pressure is weaker than, for example, in Humer and AquaMaris, which is ideal for a gentle childish spout.
This drug is available in two forms – an oil solution and an alcohol solution in a spray. Both of them are excellent antiseptics for the throat, and, oily is softer (alcohol dries the mucous membrane). And the cheap price makes the drug accessible to all.
Iceland moss throat tablets are a good remedy for dry coughing. Candies have a specific taste, but my daughter loves them. There is also a menthol version of the drug.
It is an antiseptic based on Miramistin that can be used for the nose, ears and eyes. Very effective remedy for conjunctivitis and the first signs of greenery in the nose.
Considering the daughter problems with the spout (the tendency to antritis and a slight increase in adenoids), protargol is indispensable for us. The effect of it can be observed already on the second day – the nose begins to breathe, the puffiness subsides.
The only negative is the characteristic black color of the preparation, which, by the way, is not washed with anything, it has been verified by personal experience.
This is a cough syrup, but not on the basis of herbal preparations – it contains carbocysteine, which has a pronounced mucolytic effect. Fluditec not only promotes expectoration of sputum, but also dilutes it.
And instead of throwing out money and poisoning children’s liver with syrups on the basis of plantains, ivy and other licorice roots, it is better to be treated once with Flyuditek, which is indispensable for a productive (wet) cough.
This is a local antiseptic that successfully replaces me with iodine, brilliant green, hydrogen peroxide and alcohol. It is produced in the form of a clear liquid that has neither taste nor smell, which is very important when treating wounds in children.
It costs little, so we always have a few bottles with us, both at home and in the kitchen, and in my bag in the summer, during the period of abundant broken knees.
To solve problems with the tummy, there are many drugs – Smekta, Sorbeks, Nifuroksazid and others. But of these, Enterol is the most effective for the daughter. He does not have a characteristic taste, and the effect can be observed after taking the first dose of the drug.
It has not only antidiarrheal effects, but also has a local antimicrobial and immunostimulating action. Enterol works especially well in combination with Regidron (to prevent dehydration). By the way, Regidron is available in two versions – regular and Optima. The second option has a very unpleasant taste for the child.
As you can see, there are no antiviral drugs or bacteria on my list. The fact is that I don’t believe in their effectiveness (which, by the way, is not proven) and I can’t do without them.
And what drugs are permanent residents of your first-aid kit? Which of the following funds do I use?
