Vitamin E in the planning of pregnancy
Many associate the benefits of vitamin E with the treatment and prevention of heart and vascular disease, but this element plays an important role in the planning of pregnancy. The role of taking vitamins precisely in the period of preparation for conception is difficult to overestimate, because it is the condition of the parents’ organisms (in particular, the future mother) that will affect the formation and development of the fetus.
Many women, just knowing about pregnancy, begin to monitor their health and eat right. But in fact the most important period of the birth of a new life is exactly under normal conditions, with the available reserves of vitamins and trace elements.
Since the laying of the vital organs and systems of the unborn child falls precisely on the first weeks of pregnancy, it is important to take care of the condition of the mother’s organism in advance.
Why do I need vitamin E when planning pregnancy?
Tocopherol (the second name of vitamin E) is one of the most necessary vitamins in the process of conception planning. Its overall effect on the body is a combination of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.
It improves the microcirculation of blood vessels and nutrition of tissues, promotes saturation of the body cells with oxygen, increases the protective functions of the body and has a general strengthening effect.
As for the benefits for the future mother, vitamin E in sufficient quantities ensures normal operation of the ovaries and maintains a normal hormonal background during pregnancy. In other words, it is tocopherol that prevents miscarriages in the early stages.
At the moment, there are studies proving the relationship of spontaneous abortions to vitamin E deficiency. This is a very important point, because in the early stages of pregnancy a woman’s organism can sometimes perceive a developing fetus as a foreign body and try to get rid of it.
Also, this vitamin is very important for the formation and normal operation of the placenta, and subsequently it promotes the production of the hormone prolactin, which is responsible for lactation.
Many pregnancy-planning women underestimate the effect of vitamins on the conception process, so if they feel well, they refuse to take vitamin preparations. This is a wrong decision, because to think about the health of the baby’s future is necessary in advance, and, therefore, the vitamin is mandatory for consumption. In addition, tocopherol will prepare the woman’s body for the difficulties of the forthcoming pregnancy, namely:
- will increase the endurance of systems and organs;
- improve the functioning of the circulatory system;
- reduces the likelihood of seizures in the lower limbs;
- normalizes the metabolic processes of the body;
- increase the secret activity of the sexual glands;
- will save from miscarriage.
