Can I get pregnant with uterine myoma?
Recently, a large number of women who are of childbearing age are facing gynecological diseases. One of the most common is myoma of the uterus. This ailment is diagnosed in every second representative of the weaker sex at the age of 35-40, more and more often it is found in women under 30 years old. In this regard, many are faced with the problem of planning pregnancy in the presence of such a disease. Can conception occur with uterine myoma? What effect does pathology have on the gestation process and the fetal condition?
Myoma is a neoplasm (tumor) of a benign nature that is located in the muscular tissue of the uterus. It arises because of too active division of the cells of the genital organ. There are no grounds for fear of oncological problems. This formation can go to malignant only if it starts to reproduce multiple nodes, and this happens only in 0.3% of all cases.
It is impossible to identify the exact cause in each specific situation, usually the disease causes a whole set of factors. Among the most common are:
- violation of the hormonal background – the most common cause, myomatous nodes are formed with a significant increase in the hormone estrogen in the female body, in this case, those who take contraceptive hormonal drugs, especially uncontrolled, for a long period or with a violation of the scheme;
- interruption of pregnancy, scraping and other operations on the uterus – during such interventions the layers of the uterine cavity are injured, after which the process of their growth may be disrupted;
- inflammatory processes in the uterine cavity – lead to an abnormal division of the cells of the internal structure of the genital organ;
- complex or traumatic births – increase the chances of the appearance of pathology;
In addition, if the nodes increase, the placenta will begin to experience a nutritional deficiency, and the fetus may experience oxygen starvation, a developmental lag. Although often during pregnancy, the nodes, on the contrary, decrease and disappear altogether. How to behave education, it is impossible to predict.
The main goal of a doctor in the conduct of such a pregnancy is to preserve it and ensure the full development of the fetus. Often, the future mother is sent to the hospital, where she will be provided with daily medical care and the necessary treatment is provided.
If a woman with uterine myoma has managed to maintain a pregnancy, then the question arises before her, and how will delivery take place in the presence of such a pathology?
With small nodes and their successful arrangement, there are practically no problems during delivery. The child in this case comes to light naturally, and everything goes well. If there is a threat to the life of the fetus, or it is not positioned correctly, the doctor may decide to have a caesarean section. During surgery, the myoma can be removed.
After giving birth, the patient's condition also requires close attention and control, since the presence of fibroids is likely to cause bleeding. Also, with a reduced tone, the uterus is hard to return to the previous size in the postpartum period, special therapy will be performed for this.
