How to organize a working day so as not to harm the child? These questions worry many future mothers.
Baby has not been born yet, but you should already take care of him: less nervous, walk more, do not recycle, give tests and see doctors on time … While at work you are still waiting for labor deeds (especially if you do not know about your pregnancy). How to combine the incompatible?
Step one. How to tell the boss about your pregnancy
Theoretically, you can report pregnancy at work at any time, at least a week before the decree. But it’s better not to delay too much – it’s in your best interests.
- Firstly, the later you inform the chef about pregnancy, the more irritation you will cause: Why did not you say so much time? Where am I going to replace you now?
- Secondly, early recognition (especially if you say that you are ready to find or train your successor) characterizes you as a decent, responsible employee who thinks not only about himself, but also about the company’s interests. And if you plan to return to the old job in the future, it is better to leave good memories of yourself.
- Thirdly, the earlier you tell the boss about pregnancy, the earlier he starts to make you indulgences. For example, it will allow you to come later, if you have toxicosis in the morning, add an extra half hour to your lunch break so that you can take a walk in the fresh air, it will be condescending to take part of the work at home. But you can count on these benefits only if you have a warm relationship with the management.
