Alcohol and pregnancy
Are such concepts as alcohol and pregnancy compatible? Experts answer unequivocally: of course, no!
After all, alcohol instantly enters the bloodstream of a woman, and with it gets to the fetus. As a result, a number of disorders in fetal development may occur.
The woman’s organism works in such a way that the eggs in the ready-made form are stored throughout the reproductive period. Therefore, if a woman takes alcohol shortly before conception, then the probability of damage to a part of the eggs increases.
Accordingly, at the time of conception, it is not known exactly which female germ cell meets the sperm. And suddenly it will be defective?
As for men, it is recommended that they do not consume alcohol before conception before 2-3 months. During this period, new, healthy spermatozoa are usually formed, which is a guarantee of quality conception.
According to the research, if the mother, not knowing about the pregnancy that has come, drinks alcohol, then in the first two weeks the harm to the embryo will not be caused. This is due to the fact that during this period the embryo slowly moves along the fallopian tubes, after which it is fixed in the uterus. So, the mother’s organism is not yet capable of influencing him.
Of course, alcohol in the first weeks of pregnancy is still not worth using, yet it in any case harms the female body.
If there was an unplanned pregnancy and alcohol was present at the time of conception, the probability of the birth of a baby with congenital malformations increases dramatically. After all, fertilization can occur with a pathological sperm, the mobility of which in men is much greater than in a sober state.
According to the research, after drinking alcohol, the amount in sperm of full and defective spermatozoa becomes equal.
Doing a pregnancy test and knowing that conception has occurred in unfavorable conditions, you need to be prepared for the fact that the pregnancy can be interrupted. Pregnancy and alcohol test – things are so incompatible that an inferior fetus often dies even during the first weeks after fertilization.
If the embryo managed to survive in the first weeks and attached to the walls of the uterus, then it is probably more healthy. But how does alcohol affect pregnancy at a later date?
- 3-13thweeks – the period of active formation of all systems and organs of the fetus. Therefore, the hobby of alcohol instantly has a negative effect on the fetus and violates the conditions of its development. As a result, the risk of serious pathologies becomes enormous;
- 14-40-week – At this time, there is an improvement in the organs and systems of the little man. Consequently, alcohol can lead to a serious disruption of the functions and performance of the body. In addition, the maternal organism under the influence of alcohol is much less able to absorb trace elements and vitamins. Therefore, usually there is hypovitaminosis and anemia, resulting in the hypoxia (choking) of the fetus. Due to lack of oxygen, the child suffers, metabolic processes are disrupted, pathological changes in organs occur.
