Of course, today the determination of the sex of the future baby by the beating of his heart can hardly be considered popular, but a quarter of a century ago, when my mother was pregnant with me, he was the main one for her.
There are still ways according to which it is possible to determine who will be born (boy or girl) by baby’s heart rate, their rhythm, and the location of the heart itself (or rather, the baby’s mother’s belly). However, they are interpreted contradictory and somewhat confused.
According to the first option, the boy’s heart beats faster than the girl’s heart. It is believed that the heartbeat above 140 beats per minute indicates that a boy lives in the belly of the future mother.
Accordingly, if the beat frequency is lower, you should wait for the girl. However, some people argue that sex should be determined exactly the opposite.
In the second variant, the rhythm of the beats is studied. More rhythmic and measured beats in boys (something like knock …, knock …, knock). In girls, they are more chaotic and frequent (such as knockers).
Although there are enough versions here. Some people, for example, believe that the rhythm of the heartbeats in boys coincides with the mother’s, and the girls – not.
I also know the method according to which it is necessary to determine in which side of my mother’s abdomen the child’s heartbeat is heard. If in the left side there will be a boy, well, respectively, if in the right side there is a girl.
At the time when my mother wore me under her heart, ultrasound was not performed yet. Therefore, it was almost possible to accurately determine my gender. My mother’s relatives, colleagues and acquaintances, despite this, made their bets: someone determined the sex according to the shape of the abdomen, someone according to their state of health. But these were only assumptions, and mother did not believe in them.
An obstetrician-gynecologist, whose mother was registered, one day determined my gender by heartbeat. She said that the frequency of beats is quite high, they are rhythmic and clear. Which means it is safe to say that a boy will be born.
And my mother was waiting for a girl. At that time she was 34 years old, and she raised two sons. She, in fact, decided to have a third child, hoping only for her daughter. Already dresses were purchased, and the name was chosen … And here it is.
The doctor after each visit mom assured that there should be no mistake, the heartbeat clearly belongs to the boy. More than once my mother told me that she had already lost hope for her daughter, she and her dad even then found who to give the tiny little dresses to. But decided to do it after the birth of the baby. And for good reason, because, contrary to the forecasts of a doctor, I was born.
In my opinion, each of the ways to determine the sex of a child has the right to exist. However, to rely on the fact that he is true and truthful is not worth it. After all, even the method of ultrasound, which is widespread in our time, gives an accurate result not only in 100 percent of cases, but only in 97.
And if you tried to determine the sex of the child according to his heartbeat?
