Of course, there is an opinion that preparation courses for childbirth are absolutely non-binding. After all, our mothers and grandmothers successfully managed without such support. But in recent years there have been many schools of expectant mothers.
Many believe that the woman herself knows how to behave in childbirth. Let me argue with this statement. In the maternity hospital, I saw that a number of women began to panic during bouts and strokes. They do not know how to breathe properly, how to make the contractions less painful and as a result harass and without this exhausted medical staff.
Frankly, I myself did not attend courses for future moms, as I had a planned cesarean. But one of my good friends supported such specialists very, very much.
The head of the courses turned out to be an enthusiastic person and gathered a team of consultants from medical women and psychologists who themselves became young mothers not so long ago.
They used their own example to explain to women that pregnancy is not a pathological condition of the body (as many expectant mothers begin to think, having passed a bunch of tests and visited many narrow specialists). As a friend told me, she finally understood that pregnancy is one of the most beautiful periods in a woman’s life.
Moreover, where, like in such courses, you will find like-minded and just good friends with whom you can discuss common problems, and just chat about your girlfriend. And besides psychological support, the most serious consultations on how to behave in childbirth are held at the school for young mothers. Pregnant women are taught proper breathing, they take small physical exercises to train the corresponding muscle groups and explain how to minimize pain during contractions.
