I was completely normal, without much difficulty, pregnancy. Childbirth was soft and fast. But all 9 months I did not know how everything will be. It disturbed my peace of mind. Most worried about the attitude of doctors to me. It so happened that since childhood I am not friends with them because of the constant jambs that they allowed.
To make me calmer, the family decided – I will give birth to a personal doctor. We agreed with him at the end of pregnancy. When you give birth under a contract – the doctor cares more about his reputation and the health of the client. After all, we are talking about money, and often about a lot.
But not every woman in labor has such an opportunity, although I know firsthand, the majority still tries to find ways out to good specialists by all available means. There are those who rely on the will of fate and go to give birth on their own. In my opinion, there are fewer of them.
As it seems to me, the doctor is a special profession. A person should dominate such qualities as compassion, empathy, desire to help. In practice, we are faced with ordinary people who want to make money. This is a normal desire in our lives. But, in that case, why was it necessary to go to work exactly as a doctor?
Stories about how poorly treated patients in a hospital with a hospital are not shocking for a long time and are not something surprising. And how in a boorish way they treat pregnant women a long time ago is not news.
But pregnant women are, in general, a special type of people to whom an appropriate approach is needed. And after all we give birth not for free, for us there are additional surcharges from the state. So why such anger? Or is there never a lot of money?
I do not say that all doctors are like that. But, unfortunately, the chances of getting by chance to a good doctor are negligible and akin to luck. So why is it that conditionally free medicine resembles a roulette game? Why it is impossible to be sure beforehand that everything will go smoothly, regardless of the complexity of the case?
I have a childhood friend, whose brother has learned to be a dentist and now he has his own office. In general, he began in an ordinary district clinic, but, seeing all the bureaucracy, he could not stand it for long. My friend decided to follow in the footsteps of her brother.
She graduated from the Medical Academy with a red diploma. I still remember her tears when she could not get a good job, and her fellow students — shirkers and troechniki — without difficulty, immediately after training, occupied leading positions in hospitals and paid clinics. Because relatives worked there.
She, knowing everything from the inside, wept for the one who would treat people. And yet, she, of course, did not want to obey so, realizing that her knowledge was much deeper.
I am very sorry for those whose childbirth was difficult due to the fault of doctors. And there are, unfortunately, a lot of them. Every hospital is famous for failures, mistakes. For example, I didn’t want to go to one of the maternity homes of our city. Because it gave birth to 9 people from my friends. All went well with only one. And it seemed to me that everything should be the other way around. And that scares me.
Of course, I understand that doctors sometimes have to put up with our complex character and requirements. But I am more than confident that this is caused only by distrust, since very often one has to deal with low-skilled specialists.
