Again these cramps! – my employee collaborated painfully. Another 3-4 weeks, and in them with her husband a young family one man will be more.
Did you get cramps too? – violated the dimensional course of my thoughts her question.
I don’t remember, ”I answered automatically,“ let me think about it. ” .
During my second pregnancy, there were no such problems, but when I wore my first child under my heart … It was a long time ago. That’s a funny thing – memory. She obligingly gives all the most pleasant and joyful, and hides the troubles and disappointments in the farthest corner.
And yet I remembered. Yes, I also experienced these most unpleasant moments when my legs were cramping at the most inappropriate moment. The first time it happened on the 9th month of pregnancy, right at the next scheduled inspection.
I lay down on the couch so that the doctor could listen to the baby’s heartbeat, when suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my leg. The calf muscle became like a stone, and the foot stretched out like that of a ballerina who turned on pointe shoes.
From surprise, I screamed. I tried to return the leg to its usual position, but it was not there. The nurse squeezed her for 5 minutes until my muscles relaxed. Seeing my fear, the doctor hurried to calm me down. She said that this is quite common during pregnancy, especially in the last trimester.
Most likely, the reason was the deficiency of such trace elements as calcium, magnesium and potassium. And all because during this period the baby begins to develop as quickly as possible, and the body does not have time to replenish reserves.
I quickly managed to get rid of painful spasms. On the recommendation of a doctor, I changed my diet a little. She began to eat in smaller doses, but more often. In the diet added more legumes and buckwheat, dried fruit and cottage cheese.
In addition, I resumed taking multivitamin preparations and … changed my shoes. It turned out that the heels of my boots were tall, my legs were very tired by the end of the day.
After 2 weeks of convulsions, I forgot to think.
Did you have seizures during pregnancy? How did you fight them?
