The main reflexes of newborn children: unconditioned and conditioned reflexes
Twenty-eight days – exactly the period of the newborn period, during which the child’s organism undergoes adaptation to the completely new conditions for it, is already out-of-life, therefore the reflexes of a newborn child play a major role here.
reflexes of a newborn baby
This is explained by the fact that a newly born baby is still deprived of many useful skills – nature takes care of it.
In this period, the baby has only developed unconditioned reflexes – that is, those that are laid as though by default. Gradually, some of them disappear, giving way to the conditional.
Conditional reflexes still can be called a personal experience of the child, as they are acquired in the process of further development and maturation of the brain.
Clinically significant unconditioned reflexes in the whole kid fifteen – and their fate is very different: some are needed only to survive the difficult birth process (therefore they quickly disappear after birth), others – to give impetus to the development of new ones, and still others remain for life.
Pediatric neonatologists subdivide the congenital reflexes of newborns into several groups:
It is pronounced up to the five-month age of the baby.
Kernig Reflex - the reaction of the hip and knee joints to an attempt to unscrew them by force after bending. Normally, this can not be done. Disappears completely after four months.
Automatic gait reflex , which is a very amusing sight, consists in attempts of the newborn to step in the real way, if it is lifted and slightly tilt the body forward. The evaluation criterion is the degree of completeness of the support when walking on the entire foot. Reliance on the fingers and clinging feet at each other is a sign of violations requiring observation of a neurologist.
Reflex support - the attempt of the toddler to stand on his feet, when he, carefully holding, put on a flat surface (on the table, for example). This is a two-phase reflex: first the baby, having felt the touch of the support, sharply bends the legs in the knees, and then becomes both stops and presses the soles to the table firmly. Well expressed reflexes of a support and automatic gait are kept during one and a half months.
Bauer's Reflex (spontaneous crawling) can be observed by putting the baby on his stomach and putting his palms to his soles: he starts to crawl, pushing away from the created support and helping himself with his hands. Appearing at 3-4 days, this reflex disappears after 3-4 months.
Congenital (and older children too) reflexes from nature (intuitive) not only for communicating with the outside world but also for resolving internal worries and illness, protection from external influences.
Therefore, children's reflexes can be successfully applied to adults for the treatment of various diseases.
Unfortunately, as we grow older, social orders erase them and people as a result remain without natural protection.
For example: cry and laugh. In many places and situations (especially for men) is not considered an eligant one.
