How to dress a newborn for a walk (summer, autumn, winter)
If you are a young mother and are worried about the health of your child, then, most likely, you were already asking yourself how to dress your newborn baby for a walk. It takes extra care to help the baby adapt in this world. It is on clothes that should be paid special attention in the first days of a newborn’s life, because at that time the thermoregulation of the organism of a little man does not work well enough, and walks in the fresh air are very useful and even necessary.
By the time the baby is born, the main wardrobe, as a rule, has already been acquired. Typically, this wardrobe includes the following clothing:
- Body or body suit of cotton or flannel fabric;
- A hat made of fine fabric;
- Cap made of warm cloth;
- Cotton cap;
- Overalls of warm fabric, for example, fleece;
- Warm overalls;
- Envelope or coveralls with a heater.
Pampers and blankets are not clothes, but one should not forget about them.
Walking with infants should be long enough and often, because in this way their health is strengthened, a small growing organism is enriched with oxygen, sleep and appetite improve. Usually a walk with the newborn takes from 1 to 2 hours, and it is recommended to do it twice a day. To such a walk should be well prepared.
Before you put on your child’s clothes, do not forget about the diaper. Never interfere with taking a warm fleece or a bikini blanket and raincoat, because the weather at any time of the year can present an unpleasant surprise in the form of unexpected wind, rain or snow. Add to this a sheet, a handkerchief, a pacifier and water; and a walking set for the baby is ready.
Pay attention to the weather. Before going out, we used to look at the thermometer. But the temperature is just one of the indicators. No less important role is played by other factors: sunny or cloudy, windy or not, fogs and precipitation, humidity level.
In winter, care should be taken to insulate the extremities of the newborn, as well as the head, especially the ears. Provide the necessary heat to these parts of the body. The child can be dressed in a cap, a warm hat, cotton body, a fleece overall and an envelope with a heater. At the top of the child should be covered with a warm blanket. Such outfitting will provide comfort and warmth for the child during walks from -10 to -20 degrees. If the frost is very strong, it is better to walk from walks.
At temperatures from 0 to -10, a warm plaid should not be used. But sometimes at zero temperature there is such a high humidity and such piercing wind that we freeze faster than in the cold. The child is also a person, and in such cases again it is worth remembering the warm plaid.
