How long does it take to iron clothes (diapers) for a newborn? And should they be ironed?
After the birth of the child, the day of the young mother can be painted by the minute: she needs not only to provide proper care for the baby, who requires constant attention, but also in the intervals between the regime moments to remake a lot of homework (to clean, cook, wash and iron clothes).
And do I even need to iron the diapers and things of the newborn baby? Is this a senseless waste of time and energy, which is already lacking?
Arguments against ironing
Opinions on the need for ironing diapers are ambiguous even in the environment of experienced pediatricians. There is a large category of specialists who are convinced that excessive disinfection of everything that the crumb is in contact with is not only unnecessary, but harmful to him, because:
- Microorganisms, inevitably present in the environment around us, cause the young organism to fight infectious agents, thereby creating the effect of natural vaccination;
- The ironed laundry partially loses the ability to absorb moisture and can cause the sweating or irritation of tender infant skin.
