Recently, I began to struggle with obesity and, first of all, focused on the adjustment of nutrition. And now it’s time to add traffic!
To be honest, I haven’t been friends with sports since childhood. All my life my parents focused on their studies, but I was not against it, and as a result I almost always had an exemption from physical education (due to the preparation for various Olympiads I was given such a privilege).
I entered the university in absentia to work, which means again physical education in the span (in our university it was only for full-time students). Further, office work with all the consequences, and to all this, I also, for health reasons, many sports do not fit.
In fitness clubs I feel uneasy
I went to the fitness club a couple of times, and even though my weight was not very big, I felt not very comfortable against the background of pumped up and fit instructors. In the end, it was a month like aqua aerobics (in the water, you are not visible)) and abandoned, because too much time was spent on a trip to the pool, washing your head, etc.
But in the matter of a slim figure and a toned-up healthy body without sport, nowhere. Nutrition food, but that the skin does not droop, and the forms were nice, you need to do something. Not to mention the health benefits.
Then I began to look for various video-complex exercises for the house. I started to do exercises with the wind-up video instructor and … could not finish them. This is what zero sports training means. In addition, it was not convenient to wear socks, but I still didn’t get sneakers, like a mat so as not to slip, and various equipment, like dumbbells, balls, etc.
It became obvious that it was necessary to start with something simpler. I can not run, but the doctor recommended fast walking every day.
And then I found her!
I do not remember where I stumbled upon Home Walking from Leslie Sanson, but it was clearly getting to the point! I did not want to depend on the weather and turn circles around the house, buy shoes and clothing for walking. I wanted to calmly study at home, at least the first month, while getting used to the loads.
For these purposes, the exercise video complexes from Leslie Sanson are just a godsend. As Leslie herself says, in order to study according to her system, you don’t need anything, you can be as many years as you want, whatever weight you like, most importantly, you should be able to walk.
My impressions from the exercises Walk at Home (We go at home)
In this exercise program there are several levels. The first complex is called 1 mile (about 1.61 km), the second is 2 miles and so on until the fifth. By the time the first complex takes 21 minutes, the next 33 minutes, then 45 minutes and the last last about an hour.
I started with 1 mile. The lesson itself consists of walking and a few simple exercises (such as a swing with legs or a side step). It seems that it is easy, but by the end of 20 minutes I already wanted to shower. The next day, my legs hurt a little, but I still became engaged and had already mastered 2 miles.
I tried to wipe at 3 miles, but for now I’m tired and have to rewind the lesson, so now I do 2 miles in the morning and evening.
During class, the mood improves, I want to smile, I feel more invigorated, and life seems beautiful. And for sweets no longer pulls, I have enough positive emotions from the class.
And most importantly – the volumes are gradually decreasing! The skirt began to be fastened with ease, and earlier it was dug into the stomach. And this is just 2 weeks walk.
I took a photo before I changed my diet and started classes, it seems, my legs started to decrease a little too. I also do a massage, but I’ll tell you about it another time.
Who will fit this set of exercises
Walking at home will suit the same unprepared beginners in sports, like me, for whom other activities still seem difficult. Plus, no additional inventory is needed, even if you are walking in a bathrobe and slippers, the main thing is not to sit still!
