I can not call myself a super-mother, who every day invents some kind of creative activity with the child. I admire such moms very much, but I don’t always manage to find time for it. But, with pencils, felt-tip pens, paints, puzzles, mosaics and other things, I introduced my children from an early age.
Just put, for example, a sheet of paper and allowed me to draw kalyaki-malaki. Drawing at home in the first place, on the second – modeling from plasticine and salt dough, on the third – application.
It has already been scientifically proven that the development of fine motor skills has a very positive effect on the speech apparatus. I’ll tell you what observations I made.
When I gave birth to the oldest girl, and she was half a year old, we moved to her husband’s hometown. Here I had neither old friends, nor relatives, nor acquaintances. But there was plenty of free time that I could devote to the child.
And since she was a rather capricious and restless child, I had to interest her with something unusual. So we began to sculpt and draw. Many kids eat plasticine, so this process needs to be kept under control, in principle, just like drawing.
Once I didn’t hide the paints very carefully, and while I washed the dog’s paws after the walk, my daughter managed to get rid of them from head to toe. So vigilance is important here.
Baby grew up, we drew, cut out, pasted, sculpted … Nothing supernatural, just filled our free time with something interesting. As a result, the daughter began to speak very early in conversation, before the age of two she made simple sentences.
Then the second child appeared, I had much less time, while she was quietly playing with toys, I tried to quickly do at least some household chores. And then good home-based work appeared, which I didn’t want to miss, so I didn’t have enough time to work with a younger one.
Of course, I tried to carve out my spare time, but much less often than we did with the older one. And the little girl did not feel any special cravings for creativity. The youngest turned 2 years old and apart from a couple of three words, she didn’t say anything more.
Of course, this could be related to the nature of the child, it was obvious that she had a huge passive dictionary, she understood everything, but did not even try to speak, did not babble in her own language, did everything in silence. I saw that her girlfriends and friends who are younger or older for 1-1.5 months are already in full swing.
A blessing in disguise.
Then we went to the hospital for 2 weeks, there was plenty of time. They lay in the infectious disease, it was impossible to take the toys with them, they took one horse and forced them to send them home. There was no children’s room in the department, since the contact of children was prohibited. We started to draw.
At first I drew what I wanted and told my daughter what it was, then she herself began to ask her what to draw. After two days I started drawing all my free time myself.
I whipped some beads and took a set of beads with me to the hospital, there were also large beads in the set. Once I decided to give my daughter string them on a wire, it caused her such a delight! She strung and again lowered the beads to put them back on the wire.
We came home with such a significant vocabulary.
By the way, before I could not constantly control the process of drawing a child and hid everything that can draw the wallpaper, and now I gave her all the pencils, pens, felt-tip pens from the elder arsenal.
In the course went even paint, which I was so afraid. Suddenly, it turned out that my daughter paints over drawings in decorations very well. She still does not understand that it is necessary to change the colors of pencils, but the main thing practically does not go beyond the line. After the hospital barely 2 months passed, and we have just incredible changes in the development of the child.
So she painted dad and mom. Very symbolic in my opinion. And funny.
She began to speak with full-fledged sentences, she speaks words very well, I understand her not only me, but also outsiders. She draws every day, and when I have time to weave beads, she also joins and strings together not beads, but beads.
No matter how busy the parents are, you should try to do everything possible so that you can set aside time for your creative activity with your child in your schedule. The development of fine motor skills, as well as the time spent in close contact with mom or dad, incredibly affect our crumbs.
