I will tell about how we celebrated the anniversary of the eldest daughter.
I began to prepare for the celebration in advance. I ordered a three-tiered cake, invited a professional photographer. We celebrated the first birthday of the little girl in Finland with her grandparents. Naturally, all the relatives living there were invited. We did the invitations ourselves. A color printer printed a photo of her daughter with a twofold smile, and in her hands she held a poster (I made it myself in Photoshop) – Come to me for my birthday.
Noted in their home, good, the area allowed to do this without prejudice to both the hosts and guests. When entering the house, each guest wrote his congratulations and wishes in a special album. On the wall hung a huge poster, which I and my sister drew the day before. On the poster, a daisy was painted with twelve petals, each with a portrait of a daughter in different months of life. Through the player, right on the wall (good, square allowed), various videos were broadcast with the participation of the birthday woman: an extract from the maternity hospital, holidays, first steps, swimming in the bathroom, etc.
The whole room, where the main celebration was held, was decorated with balloons, and soap bubbles constantly flew out of a special car (I don’t know its name). Of the children at the festival, except for the birthday girl, there was only her first cousin of two years old.
The feast as such we did not arrange, was an ordinary buffet table. The celebration itself lasted about four hours. The main program was drawing together with the baby on a huge drawing paper. All the guests, both old and small, painted with special finger paints in turn. Only the birthday girl could participate in the process all the time. What she certainly took. The prints of the legs and arms remained in large quantities in the overall picture.
Then, together with all the guests, we played forfeits. Papers with tasks pulled for everyone the birthday girl herself. I will give an example of several tasks: to tell a nursery rhyme, to become a horse for a birthday woman, to sing a children’s song, to cheer up a birthday woman, etc. The mood we all had that day was just great. We all remember this birthday for many years.
