How to organize a corner for your baby’s games? Your baby is already crawling or learning to walk, and the limited arena annoying him – what to do?
The grandmothers of the baby probably recommended buying a baby a palasik or a rug so that he could play on it, but you were not afraid that the baby would freeze on the bare floor or it would hurt his head. It seems to me that today there is a more convenient modern replacement solution with a carpet – a soft floor.
I didn’t come to this idea right away, at first I tried to lay blankets on the floor, but the crawling baby collected them with his own body and made knolls. It was practically impossible to fasten the blanket so that it did not crumple, even considering its gigantic weight and size.
Then I used the grandmother’s method – I put the baby on a small rug, but he began to scrub at him with tiny fingernails in an attempt to eat a nap. It did not suit me, and I bought two tourist skins.
I fastened them by cutting holes in the edges and simply tying them with strong ribbons. This solution is convenient for those who can afford to occupy such a space permanently, the foam is warm, they cannot be bitten off, and it does not hurt them to fall.
However, considering the dimensions of my living space, I could not afford to permanently occupy a territory of 1 * 2.2 meters, since I already had a 1 * 1 meter playpen. I needed a children’s corner, which, if desired, could be folded.
It was then that I found this soft floor. Any child’s jigsaw puzzles like this can act as such. However, some of them have removable small parts. If your child is still small – it is better to refrain from such a purchase.
You can make such a soft floor yourself from the tourist foam – it takes about 5 minutes to cut out one such detail with a stationery knife, and you can significantly increase the area for a lot of money. In the photo foam double-layer, but I assure you that a single-layer suit even better.
For curious babies, fencing is also required if you do not plan to sit next to him constantly. The most important thing is security.
If you limit space with furniture, do not forget to glue soft plugs on sharp corners, cover the hard edge of the bed with a blanket and take all other preventive measures. If you have a corner with empty walls, you still need something to shield the remaining space.
In many children’s stores, you can also buy boards with bars, like on a bed, which can be installed in the form of a playpen, but if their price does not suit you, ask the father of your baby or a skilled friend to do something like that.
Hang a grid with toys next to it, put a pillow for your child so that he can climb on it – in short, when the main place is organized, you can show all your imagination.
