When my son learned to walk, I didn’t really think about slippers. Does she need a child? At home we have slippers not in honor, we are all used to walk barefoot. Since our apartment is very warm, the child also walks in socks all the time.
All summer, the son walked in different shoes: sandals, sneakers, and shoes. All shoes remained smooth, not deformed. But recently noticed that the son began to tread shoes. First on one leg, and then on the other.
Of course, I immediately thought, isn’t that the reason for the curvature of the foot, that the son walks barefoot in the house? I know that walking barefoot is very useful, but it is on an uneven surface. And at home everything is exactly the same.
Immediately went to the reception to the orthopedist. Of course, how many doctors so many opinions. So our expert said that neither the lack of slippers, nor the lack of any nutrients, such as calcium, has anything to do with it. She said that shoes are needed purely for warmth or for convenience. If it is warm at home, or the child does not want to wear shoes, then let him walk barefoot.
Our problem may disappear by five years, but in general, such a curvature is corrected difficultly, according to the orthopedist. I hope that everything will pass, all the more so since no one in our family has such a disease. While we were prescribed a course of massage.
Quality shoes for children
The reason for our diagnosis is not in the shoes, but it depends on it how things will go further. And I will now be more attentive to the issue of buying this part of the wardrobe. Now, when the shelves of children’s shoe stores are full of poor-quality shoes, this is not an easy question.
Most recently, when they were looking for a Czech son, I was just amazed by the fact that low-quality shoes can be offered to us in stores. But we are talking about children.
Good shoes should breathe, not cause allergies, and they should be properly sewn. On such shoes sellers must have certificates of quality.
As I understood, it is not necessary to wear baby slippers at home, but if you opt for slippers, it should be of high quality. Slippers, like other shoes, should not be large or small to a child. Shoes must be on the heels (about 1 centimeter), with a high, fairly rigid back and well fixed on the foot clasps.
