Virtually all manufacturers label their products, but not all are approaching the age marking responsibly. On some toothbrushes it is possible to see marking – from one 1 to 7 years. From such a brush it is better to refuse right away. For each age period, toothbrushes with different head sizes are required. Therefore, before the age of seven, the child must use brushes of four age categories.

- From 1 year to 2 years. The length of the head is 1.5 cm, the length of the handle is about ten cm.
- From 2 to 5 years. The length of the head is 2 cm, the length of the handle is 13-15 cm.
- From 5 to 7 years. The length of the handle is from 16 to 17 cm. The head length is from 2 to 2.5 cm.
