Antipar: instructions for use for aquarium fish

For aquarists, patience and attention are important qualities. They sometimes have to face the diseases of their pets, when timely therapy is needed.

For fish in the aquarium invented various means, treating those or other diseases. Such drugs include Antipar, which has its own characteristics of use.

Antipar – a drug for the treatment of diseases of aquarium fish

Antipar for fish – a tool that represents a blue-green liquid with the smell of formalin. It is produced in several volumes: 15, 20, 25 ml.

Antipara contains stabilized formalin, malachite blue and green.

It is an antiseptic that helps to cure infectious, fungal diseases in aquarium fish. For animals, it is slightly toxic, safe for the aquarium flora.

The drug is intended for use in water, and its use is not associated with the concentration of sea salt. The main thing is to follow the instructions and take into account the dosage of the medicine.

For preventive purposes, new fish can not be immediately immersed in a common aquarium. They need a separate quarantine.

In such an aquarium do not put the soil and do not plant plants. No need for him and biofilter.

However, a compressor, a mechanical filter, a heating device and a source of dim light are needed. Antipar is added to water, thereby neutralizing pathogens and parasites.

The prevention period is 1 month.

You must start using the drug when the following symptoms:

  • fish become lethargic;
  • freeze;
  • growths and spots appear on their body;
  • animals constantly rub against soil or stones;
  • greedily swallow air.

In order to not show any undesirable consequences, before adding Antipar to the general aquarium, the tool should be tested on 2-3 fish. Thus it is possible to determine the degree of its influence.

Instructions for use include the following points:

  1. Before you start using the drug, it is desirable to update the water at 25−30%. Such a measure is necessary before each application of the solution.
  2. The ratio of drug and water: 1 ml per 50 l, respectively. The required amount of funds should be dissolved in 200−300 ml of water in a separate container. After that, the resulting solution is poured into the aquarium, mixing with the main water layer.
  3. When applying the remedy for the simplest microorganisms or fungi, the course of treatment should not exceed 5 days.
  4. If the drug is used to cure oodinosis or ichthyophthyrosis, the duration of treatment with Antipar reaches 10 days, but the dose of the drug is reduced by 2 times. The aquarium should be well lit.
  5. The solution is recommended to add closer to the onset of the night. Fish at this time it is better not to feed. But if this is not possible, feed should be given 2 hours after the addition of the drug. After feeding, leftover food must be removed. Local lighting and filtering should be turned off.

Before use antipara fish should not feed

  • Special attention should be paid to the water temperature, it should be within + 24 … + 26 degrees. The acidity index is also important, its norm is 5−6.8 units.
  • In case of severe damage, Antipar is diluted in a separate container in the following ratio: 1 ml per 10 l. In the resulting solution should keep the fish for 3 hours and then return them to the main aquarium. For greater efficiency, this treatment is carried out twice with a break in the day.
  • When oodinose animals need to be processed 5 times a day. At the end of the treatment, the water is completely replaced and the cleaning filters are put into operation. If a complete renewal of water is not possible, then activated carbon tablets placed in a fabric bag should be placed at the bottom of the aquarium.
