In my opinion, insulated leather gloves are a great option for winter. Yes, it is sometimes warmer in mittens, but for me they are less comfortable, as they still hold my finger movements. This is especially true when the phone in the bag is constantly ringing!
But having bought winter leather gloves, we must not forget about the rules of care, otherwise the period of wearing will be kept to a minimum.
Is washing allowed?
Wash gloves from the skin can not, because during this process, they are in any case deformed. How? May stretch or sit down on the contrary. And another important point – most likely shed.
If the gloves are just wet from the snow, then they need to be expanded, straightened well, and left to dry at room temperature. In no case should they be dried on a battery or heater.
If the gloves are tight
If leather gloves have become a little small, you can expand them yourself. I then use a moderately damp (but not wet!) Cloth. I wrap the gloves in it for about ten minutes, and then I put them on my hands and walk until they are completely dry.
However, this method is good when a small extension is required. If the gloves are very tight, nothing will help.
Pledge of a good type of winter gloves is their proper storage. Before you remove, they need to be put in order – clean from dust and stains. For this it is better to use a special brush.
If the dressing allows, you can lubricate with burdock or castor oil, which are sold in almost every pharmacy and are often used for cosmetic purposes.
However, zealous with this is not worth it. First, the amount of oil should be small and at first it is better to try to lubricate on a separate small area. Secondly, the oil must be fresh.
It is necessary that the gloves have the correct shape during storage. To do this, fit a regular cardboard. I cut a small piece of the glove and put it inside. And for the gloves themselves she started a special box in which nothing bothers them.
You can wrap them in very thick paper, but not in plastic bags. They are harmful to the skin, as they do not allow it to breathe. Gloves can not only be deformed, then whitish.
And what do you prefer for the winter?
