I love denim, so my wardrobe contains skirts, sundresses and jackets made of it. But the jeans themselves occupy a separate and dominant position, since I appreciate comfort, and classic trousers are not always able to provide it.
About the creation of this brand and its founder – I already told Levi Strauss in the topic of Levis. And today I want to write about how to distinguish real Levi’s jeans from fakes.
The first thing you need to pay attention to when buying is the label. It is made of special cardboard, and not of thick rough leather. If the jeans are pretreated, washed and seated, then the label will look a bit worn and wrinkled.
Then switch to the red flag, which should be located on the right rear pocket. It may contain an inscription embroidered with white thread. Levi’s or to have only the mark ®, denoting a registered trademark (Registered).
The number of pockets is standard – 5. Three at the front and two at the back.
On the back pockets should be a double line in the form of a tick. As a rule, the pockets themselves are edged with a double line of a darker color. And at the top, in places of attachment, it is more dense.
The front pockets, unlike the rear ones, should have rivets with a protruding central part and an inscription on the front and back side L.S.CO. – S.F., which means Levi Strauss Co – San Francisco. There should be six rivets in total.
On the inside, above the left front pocket is a label with the size, model number and country of manufacture. As well as prescribed composition, information about the care, service information, the code of 4 digits.
On the inside of the same pocket should be a corporate application, indicating that it is the original. And in the seam that passes next, in the original tag is sewn Levi’s.
