Ambroxol is benzylamine, that is, a metabolite of bromhexine. Its main difference from bromhexine is the absence of a methyl group and the presence of a hydroxyl group in the para-trans position of the cyclohexyl ring.

The first positive effects appear within thirty minutes. The duration of the effect depends directly on the dose taken. Usually the positive effect lasts from 6 to 12 hours.

According to the conducted studies, ambroxol, getting inside the bronchi, stimulates the production of mucus glands, which are in them. In this case, the mucus slowly liquefies.

Studies at the cellular level and in animals have shown that the drug stimulates the formation of a substance such as surfactant, which actively acts on the surface of the alveoli and bronchi of the child and an adult.

This property of syrup is highly valued by pediatricians.

The fact is that children born before the appointed time, not always easy to straighten themselves.

This is due to the lack of surfactant in the body.

Also baby syrup Ambrobene is an excellent antioxidant. If it is used simultaneously with antibiotics, then the therapeutic effect on the body is intensified.
