Baby roseola – how dangerous is this?
Most doctors do not know about the existence and existence of children’s roseola, and therefore often take it for other infectious diseases. Almost all children suffer from it. Pathogenesis has not yet been properly studied. It is known only that the virus disrupts the robot of the epidermis, causing morphological changes in the nucleus, then it is integrated into the mononuclear cells in the bloodstream and interacts there with cellular immunity factors. All this is manifested by skin exanthema.
Parents often face a disease that doctors are surprised at. Symptoms are very similar to other conditions, cause a false diagnosis. Doctors of polyclinics constantly diagnose an allergy or rubella, however, the disease is quite different, and has been known for centuries. The disease is called a three-day fever, also known as sudden exanthema, pseudo-redness, exanthema subitum.
Roseola baby is a rash
The cause of a three-day fever or roseola is Herpesvirus 6 or 7 type. The HHV-6 virus is spread all over the world. Back in 1988, Yamanishi first isolated it from the blood of patients with pseudo-redness. The mechanism of transmission of the pathogen is aerogenic (with coughing, talking, sneezing). The patient is contagious from the onset of the disease and a day after the temperature drops. A crumb can catch a virus on contact not only with the patient, but also when using infected toys, utensils.
