Pedagogical Lure: Basic Rules
On the recommendation of WHO, infants are introduced to adult food, depending on the method of feeding: on the breast – from six months, on the artificial – a little earlier, from five months or on the advice of a child’s doctor. This method is called pediatric. But many mothers are faced with the fact that babies in GV for a long time do not want to eat anything other than mother’s milk, or children show great interest in food from their parents’ table. A few years ago there was such a thing as pedagogical lure. There is no scientific confirmation of this new technique, but recently many breastfeeding advisors recommend parents to take a closer look at this method.
Let us consider in more detail: what is the pedagogical complementary feeding in breastfeeding
The pedagogical lure provides for the purpose not to feed the baby, regardless of his desires and needs, but to introduce him to food, to instill a culture of behavior at the table. This technique eliminates the schedule for the introduction of products, followed by physicians, recommending a pediatric method. Specialists who advise to get acquainted with this new method, insist that the main task is to awaken the baby’s interest in food, which is eaten by parents, but not because of hunger, but to imitate adults.
Some breastfeeding consultants explain: following the recommendations of the pediatrician, the child quickly learns the skills of using cutlery, stimulates chewing reflexes and starts eating the consistency that is used by mom and dad.
