From what age can milk benefit the child’s body
Traditionally, milk is considered a healthy product, rich in useful substances. Following the advice of the older generation, many parents try to give their babies as early as possible or even replace them with breastfeeding. But children’s doctors all over the world warn that milk is not categorically suitable for feeding young children.
Milk for children: whether it is possible for infants and at what age to introduce it into the diet
If a few decades ago, milk was recommended to give children as the main product of complementary foods, and in some cases as a complete alternative to breastfeeding, today the opinion of pediatricians has radically changed. Specialists of the World Health Organization warn parents that the milk of animals can not be categorically given to children of the first year of life.
The optimal option for feeding the baby is the mother’s breast. This food contains all the vitamins and substances necessary for the full development and is also fully absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract of crumbs. If a woman for some reason can not breastfeed, doctors recommend switching to an adapted infant formula made from cow or goat milk.
When making adapted mixtures of milk, the excess amount of calcium and phosphorus is removed to relieve the kidneys. Protein molecules, which are large enough, are broken down for better assimilation by the child’s enzyme system.
