How to use diapers properly and how often they should be changed
With the birth of a child in the house there are many new things and adaptations intended for the newborn. These inventions greatly facilitate the care of the baby and enable parents to rest more. The most important assistants are diapers: they do not get wet, do not be afraid that all furniture in the house will be dirty at the most inopportune moment. Yes, and the child can sleep without waking up for a while. However, many young mothers do not know the main rules for using diapers. Because of this, problems often occur in newborns: diaper rash, allergy and discomfort. How to do it right to avoid negative consequences?
Caring for the baby is the most important task for young parents. And using diapers greatly simplifies this process.
How often do you need to change the diaper day and night and why?
Advertising on television persistently argues that the diaper can stand twelve hours and stay dry. This is proven by many studies that go through the products of different firms, but does not mean that you only need two diapers per day. Pediatricians recommend changing them every 3-4 hours, regardless of the sex of the child, at least not to provoke irritation, redness and intertrigo on the delicate skin of the baby. The newborn pisses about 23 times a day, about 20-30 ml at a time, so the hygiene product should contain 100 ml of liquid during this time and stay dry so that the crumb was comfortable.
Newborn babies grow very fast, so young parents often face a situation when the smallest diaper size after 1-2 weeks after birth is small. Do not buy a lot of diapers at once, it is better to buy them if necessary in addition.
The parents' experience of the number of diapers used per day
The first 2 months of 10 pieces left, now there are 6 pieces a day.
We are constantly in diapers, we holed about 20-30 minutes 3 times a day and before bathing, but it still leaves 10-12 per day (correspondingly, a large pack for a week).
It took me 10-12 a day at first, then less.
There are several types of disposable diapers:
- for newborns who have a special recess in the front for the umbilical cord;
- for babies - they are fixed by Velcro on the sides
- for older children - special diapers-panties do not stray, more comfortable and denser sit, because kids with age are more active.
