We observe a gluten-free diet with a child: a few simple tips
A gluten-free diet is often a forced food system, characterized in that gluten is completely excluded from it. Gluten is a special vegetable protein that is found in such cereal varieties as wheat, rye and barley.
In a number of diseases, for example celiac disease, the rejection of gluten can save lives, since the use of this substance can lead to death. However, even with the strictest diet, it is possible that this very protein will enter the children’s body together with products that contain vegetable supplements in their composition. And the manufacturer rarely writes what exactly is meant by herbal supplements. Such gluten is called hidden, it can put the life of a sick child in serious danger, as it is sometimes impossible to find out whether there is gluten in the composition of a particular product. Gluten-free diet is the only diet approved by traditional medicine, widely describing the features and balance of products in this food system.
Each diet begins with a careful study of those foods that can be consumed, as well as careful study of those that can not be categorically eaten. Defining the boundaries of the diet, it is necessary to describe acceptable food:
- fruits and vegetables;
- exclusively fresh meat, fish and poultry. It is important that these products are not pickled and when they are cooked, do not use a variety of breadcrumbs;
- eggs in fresh form;
- beans, nuts, seeds – only in kind;
- dairy products, with the exception of yogurt and ryazhenka, as food starches are often used in their manufacture.
