AutoBuster: what is it and how to use it correctly
With the advent of the baby, parents think about its safety, including in the car. Transport crumbs should be in a special device, of which there are many varieties. The choice of model depends on the age of the child, its weight, as well as the brand of the machine. As you grow older, the car is replaced by an armchair or other device, such as a booster. But how safe is it and whether it replaces the full car seat?
The motorbuster is a child seat with armrests without backrest and side panels. It is installed in the car, and the child is fixed with regular straps of the car. In some models, there is a tensioner, which is attached to the shoulder of the small passenger so that the seat belt does not slip on the face or neck.
The main purpose of a booster is that the child in the car is sitting higher. Thus, the seat belts securely fix it in the abdomen and chest area. If the baby is just sitting on the seat, they will pass over the face and begin to crush the neck, which will cause inconvenience, and in case of sudden braking or impact, serious injuries can result.
According to the classification, booster is allowed to use for children 3-12 years old. However, not only age limits determine the ability to transport a child with this device. The weight and height of the passenger are also important:
- weight parameters should be in the range of 15 to 36 kg. That is, if a toddler is older than three years old, but his weight is less than fifteen kilograms, then it is impossible to use the device;
- height should not be less than 120 cm, so that the baby can be correctly and securely fixed with the help of seat belts.
