How does the process of delivery in water in a woman: the pros and cons. Preparation of the parturient for the process
The experience of delivery in the aquatic environment in Europe and Russia for more than 15 years. But many doctors in their judgments about their safety or possible risks have not yet come to a single conclusion. It is well known that immersion in the pool with strong battles facilitates pain without the use of medicines and anesthesia. Childbirth in the water can be possible only if the woman does not have indications for cesarean section. This procedure requires special preparation.

The delivery can be done in a medical institution or at home, if there is a Jacuzzi bath that allows the woman to sit comfortably in it. To give birth alone, without the supervision of a medical officer, a midwife or a specially trained specialist, is life-threatening. In this case, the appearance of the baby in the light can be accompanied by the development of serious complications, such as bleeding, genital injuries, birth trauma, up to a lethal outcome.
Childbirth in the water, conducted at home, accompanied by a specialist, will cost a little cheaper than in the clinic. In Russia they are on preliminary agreement with a doctor-obstetrician – about 30-40 thousand rubles. In some clinics, an additional fee is charged for certain services if the patient wants to expand the range of procedures performed during the first and second phase of the procedure. They include massage, pre-payment of caesarean section, epidural anesthesia in the event of an unforeseen process and changing them to standard if necessary.
