The first teeth: when slit, how to help the baby

The first teeth of our children

Teething can be called one of the most significant events of the first year of life of the youngster. Just this event, which is so expected by the parents, causes a lot of controversy, forms a large number of misconceptions. So what to look for when the first tooth appears in the baby? What symptoms awakens physiological, and what pathological?

Precursors of teething

Each parent looks forward to when the first teeth of the baby will appear? The so-called precursors of teething may indicate the rapid eruption of teeth.

On the fifth, closer to the sixth month of the child’s life, the kids become capricious, the dream is broken, the baby can refuse to eat, or on the contrary often it is applied to the breast of the mother. And already at this point, parents begin to assume teething.

The most typical and obvious sign of eruption is the child’s desire to scratch the gums, all the improvised objects that render in the access zone.

Similar symptoms can be attributed to general symptoms of eruptions, which are not specific.

Among the most reliable signs of the appearance of the first teeth in a baby, one can include those signs that can be seen in the oral cavity, directly on the gums.

Those terms that were designated are average statistical, i.e. for their isolation, a large group of children was studied, and average data were collected, without taking into account individual characteristics.

Of course, it is for these periods of eruption that all doctors are oriented, but even if the child has eruption later - it does not always indicate a pathology.

The reasons for which there is a delay in the eruption is a huge amount. And you can not talk about the disease or maldevelopment of the child, relying only on this fact.

First of all, it is necessary to try to find an explanation for the delay in eruption.

Influence on the timing of the appearance of the first tooth in the oral cavity of the baby can still have intrauterine factors.

It has long been known that the insertion of the rudiments of infant teeth occurs in the first trimester of pregnancy.

And those factors that can adversely affect pregnancy and fetus in particular, in the future, can affect the timing of teething.
