Physical development of the child in the eighth month of life

For the eighth month of life the child gaining weight 500 – 550 grams.

The length of the body for this month increases by 2 cm. The circumference of the chest and head increases in the seventh month by 0.5 cm.

By the eighth month of life, babies usually erupt about four teeth. These are two lower middle incisors (6-7 months) and two upper middle incisors (8-9 months). It should be remembered that all children are individual and teething can begin in some babies a little earlier, and others later, and there’s nothing to worry about.

By the age of eight months, the kids already know how to sit down on their own and can themselves, without support, sit for a few minutes.

They are able to get up, pulling themselves up on their hands or clinging to the sides of the crib or arena.

After all the main product groups have already been introduced, attention can be paid to the variety of foods. New, possibly combined products are introduced, for example, not only mashed potatoes from various fruits and berries, but also their combinations with cottage cheese, cream, cereals.

  • Curd - 40 grams;
  • Yolk - 1/4
  • Vegetable puree - 170-200 grams;
  • Milk porridge - 150-200 ml;
  • Minced meat - 5-30 grams;
  • Fish puree - 5-20 grams;
  • Hepatic minced meat - 5-20 grams;
  • Kefir - 50-150 ml;
  • Rusks, cookies - 5 grams;
  • Bread - 5 grams;
  • Vegetable oil - 3 grams;
  • Butter 3-4 grams.

6:00 - Breast milk or adapted formula - 200 ml

10:00 - Porridge (170 grams), yolk chicken 1/4; cottage cheese (15 grams), fruit puree (30 grams), bread (5 grams);

14:00 - Vegetable puree (160 grams), meat puree (40 grams), fruit puree (30 grams);
